A.J. Gonçalves is a family business, owned by the Gonçalves family, which began its activity in the textile sector at the beginning of the 20th century, with fabric and yarn factories. With all the experience accumulated in the textile products business and in order to respond to the needs of the Portuguese and European markets, the company Socks was created in 1966 in Braga, where, a few years later, it opened its first store under the "Pedemeia" brand.
